Pharmacy Technicians Info
CAPT
is a voluntary association that has been implemented in Vancouver, BC to
provide leadership and support to the professional development of
pharmacy technicians; to optimize pharmaceutical services in
collaboration with pharmacists.
As
outlined in the CAPT national association website:
-“CAPT promotes the professionalism of Pharmacy Technicians throughout
the industry by means of communication and strategic alliances with
other pharmacy stakeholders.
-CAPT
unites and supports Pharmacy Technicians through various forms of open
communication and promotion of continuous education and development.
-CAPT
promotes the recognition of Pharmacy Technicians as vital components in
the delivery of health care.
The
aim of CAPT is to:
Ø Increase
awareness of Pharmacy Technicians value and role throughout the
industry.
Ø Enhance
Pharmacy Technicians professionalism through communication, continuing
education, and networking.
Ø Increase
credibility through involvement with other professional organizations in
the field.
Ø Build
and maintain alliances with industry and other related members of health
care.”
